Timeline


1994
CASE is founded; a dedicated national volunteer board is established.
1995
The first National Supported Employment Conference is presented by CASE. Conference goals include networking, sharing best practices, learning, support, professional development, and inspiration.


2013

CASE launches www.employmentforall.ca, an online hub for job seekers, employers, and service providers.

Nine guiding principles of supported employment are established by CASE.

2019
CASE received national funding to hire staff and implement MentorAbility, a national mentoring program that matches job seekers with disabilities with individual mentors (employers or business leaders) to explore career opportunities.
CASE holds its first bilingual conference.
Supported Employment Essentials Training launched.


2020
The Accessible Canada Act is passed. The Act provides for the development of accessibility standards and gives the Government of Canada the authority to work with stakeholders and persons with disabilities to create new accessibility regulations.
2023
World Association of Supported Employment conference is scheduled to be held in Vancouver, B.C.
